Meet Ryan Kelso, NBU’s New CEO
After a thorough selection process that featured over 40 applicants interviewed for the NBU CEO position, we are proud to announce our very own Ryan Kelso was selected as NBU’s new leader. The decision was officially confirmed during NBU’s regular Board of Trustees Meeting on January 25, 2024.
Hear from Ryan below on what this opportunity to serve our community means to him.
My name is Ryan Kelso, and it is with great humility and honor that I share that I have been selected to lead New Braunfels Utilities as the CEO. I am genuinely enthusiastic about the opportunity to serve our community in this new capacity.
Taking on this role is a responsibility that I do not take lightly. I am committed to leading NBU with the utmost integrity and care, always considering your best interests in every decision made. Your support is paramount, and I assure you that I will be responsive to your concerns and needs.
I want to emphasize our unwavering commitment to delivering innovative and resilient services to our community. We understand the importance of keeping utility rates affordable for our customers. In pursuit of this commitment, we have established the Community Advisory Panel (CAP), comprising community members who will collaborate with our teams. The CAP will play a vital role in offering valuable input and recommendations, contributing to our collective efforts to meet fiduciary responsibilities and maintain affordable utility rates. Together, we aim to uphold the highest standards of service while ensuring financial responsibility and affordability for all.
As your community-owned utility, we are dedicated to serving you, and I want to emphasize the importance of an open line of communication. Your concerns, feedback, and advice are invaluable as we navigate the future together. It is my firm belief that the utility should mirror the community it serves, and to achieve that, I need to hear from you. I am here to listen.
Please leave me your feedback below.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and I look forward to working together to shape the future of NBU.
