New Braunfels Utilities to Host Two Electric Community Forums on August 24, 2022

The two sessions will address concerns raised by the community

New Braunfels Utilities (NBU) invites the community to attend an Electric Forum planned for Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. or 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at the New Braunfels Civic and Convention Center, 375 S. Castell Avenue, New Braunfels, Texas.  The forums are designed to address NBU customers’ electric bill concerns, and will be offered at two times to accommodate as many schedules as possible.

The forums will begin with a presentation offered by NBU Chief Executive Officer Ian Taylor, followed by breakout sessions.  The breakout sessions will provide citizens the opportunity to talk with NBU representatives to learn more about operations, billing support, and conservation resources.

The breakout sessions will allow participants to speak to NBU experts about:

• Governance
• Electric Market
• Hedging and Power Supply Program
• PCRA and Winter Storm Recovery
• Conservation and Rebates
• Consumption Alerts
• Payment Plans and Late Fees – Stations will be available to set up payment plans
• Capital Improvement Projects
• Solar Energy
