Road Closure at East Garden Street Bridge During Water Infrastructure Upgrades through Saturday, December 16, 2023

(New Braunfels, TX – November 16, 2023) – Beginning today, New Braunfels Utilities (NBU) will be replacing a section of aging water infrastructure on Garden Street Bridge with an expected completion date of Saturday, December 16, 2023. The east side of Garden Street Bridge will be closed to the public to maneuver equipment, materials, and crews safely. The closure will be daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Vehicular traffic should expect barriers and posted detour routes on South Union Avenue. There will be no southbound thru traffic permitted on West Lincoln Street. Traffic will be detoured to South Union Avenue, to East San Antonio Street, to South Seguin Avenue, and back on to East Garden Street.

All work is expected to be completed as scheduled, weather permitting.
