(New Braunfels, TX – August 15, 2024) – New Braunfels Utilities (NBU), a nonprofit, community-owned provider of electric, water and wastewater services for the greater city of New Braunfels area, has hired two new executive officers. Sheila Lavender has been named the Chief Customer Officer and Ragan Dickens the Chief Communications and Strategy Officer.

Sheila Lavender joins NBU with over two decades of executive-level customer service experience, where she has championed a customer-centric philosophy and innovative customer experience approaches. As NBU’s Chief Customer Officer, Sheila will spearhead the utility’s customer service experience initiative, developing and implementing a comprehensive customer strategy that aligns with NBU’s mission and values.

Ragan will lead NBU’s strategic direction of communications, marketing, community relations, as well as media engagement for the utility.  His role will be pivotal in shaping how NBU connects with its customers, employees and stakeholders. Ragan comes to NBU with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the communications space managing communications through periods of crisis and orchestrating organizational strategy.
