City Garbage and Recycling
Who handles what?
The City of New Braunfels handles operations for all residential and commercial garbage and recycling collections. NBU handles only the collection of payment for these services. Although you will see a charge each month on your NBU bill if you live within city limits, The City of New Braunfels can be contacted for any questions regarding service/billing.
NBU is a component unit of the City of New Braunfels, meaning we are a legal and separate organization for which they are financially accountable. It is a service we provide for the city, and by combining the bill, we reduce cost for our customers.
