Visitor Etiquette

• Pets are welcome outdoors when kept on a leash. Service animals are always welcome, but pets are not permitted inside buildings.
• Please enjoy picnics and food only in designated areas, and be sure to clean up all trash and waste when you’re finished.
• Headwaters at the Comal is home to native wildlife. Please respect their space and do not feed any animals you may see.
• Smoking and e-cigarettes are not allowed anywhere on the property.
• Bicycles are not permitted on trails. Please leave bikes in the parking area.
• Help protect the natural environment by staying on designated paths to preserve native plant life and animal habitats.
• Be aware of your surroundings at all times, including your footing, other visitors, and nearby wildlife.
• Please do not remove, cut, or clip any plant life. If you’d like to learn more about a plant for your home landscape, feel free to ask a staff member or volunteer.
