KinderKraft | Supporting Local Kids Through Community Giving

KinderKraft is a community-wide donation drive created by New Braunfels Utilities in partnership with Communities In Schools of South Central Texas (CIS). Together, we’re helping local students get the everyday items they need to feel confident, supported, and ready to learn. From school supplies to hygiene essentials, every donation helps remove barriers and open doors for kids across our community.

KinderKraft combines the German words for “children” (Kinder) and “power” (Kraft). It represents the strength of a united community working together to create positive change in the lives of children and families.

Thank you to our customers and community partners for supporting this year’s KinderKraft donation drive!

Together, we collected 1,202 items benefiting students and families across 28 local schools through Communities In Schools of South Central Texas — surpassing last year’s donation total and continuing to grow the impact of this community effort.

Your Support Matters

Your contributions help provide students with essential items, including:
• School supplies like backpacks, notebooks, binders, pens, and pencils
• Personal hygiene items such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, and toothbrushes
• Clothing and footwear, including socks, underwear, coats, belts, and shoes
• Unopened non-perishable snacks like crackers, fruit snacks, nuts, granola bars, dried fruit, pretzels
• Other helpful items like hairbrushes, drawstring bags, fidget tools, laundry detergent, and Play-Doh

All donated items should be new and unused.
