Advanced Metering Infrastructure, or AMI, is a system that allows NBU to collect utility usage information electronically through upgraded metering equipment and a secure communications network. AMI collects information related to utility consumption and meter operations. 

NBU is implementing AMI as part of a long-term effort to modernize our water and electric systems. The 10-year project will be completed gradually throughout NBU’s final service territory and will provide NBU and our customers with more timely information about utility use.
